Você está inseguro a respeito da atividade de descrição de imagens do Duolingo English Test? Você sente o cronômetro te deixa nervoso? Fique tranquilo, neste post você encontrará dicas e estratégias para melhor responder este tipo de exercício e aumentar a sua confiança.

Existem duas estratégias principais para conseguir responder essa questão de forma adequada. A primeira delas é descrever a imagem de forma objetiva. A segunda estratégia é voltada a emissão de opiniões a respeito da imagem. Combinando essas duas estratégias você conseguirá um desempenho muito melhor.

Estratégia 1: Foco em descrição

A estratégia focada na descrição da imagem utiliza pontos gramaticais e vocabulário simples. Ela é ideal para começar a responder o exercício pois vai te ajudar a comprar tempo para pensar em frases mais elaboradas a respeito da imagem.

Estratégia 2: Emissão de opinião

A grande vantagem da estratégia de emissão de opinião sobre o foco na descrição da imagem está relacionada ao uso da gramática. Quando você emite uma opinião sobre a imagem você acaba utilizando pontos gramaticais e vocabulário mais avançado.

Dica de ouro: Lembre-se, demonstrar que você sabe usar a gramática de forma adequada é muito mais relevante que falar palavras rebuscadas que você não se sente seguro para usar pois ainda não fazem parte do seu vocabulário.

Atividade 1

Estratégia 1: Foco em descrição

"In this picture I see two children, they are very beautiful. I also see a big dog. Behind them I see a lot of grass. The children look like they are well behaved. They look very similar, so I believe they must be siblings. The tog is adorable and I think it went through some sort of training because it is incredibly calm. I love the scenario behind the children."

Estratégia 2: Emissão de opinião

"In this picture I see two amazing children. They remind me of my siblings. People in my family look very similar to people from this picture. The kids in the photo are white and blond. The boy on the right wears a white t-shirt and his shoes and socks are also white. He wears shorts. The girl on the left has long hair and wears a cute dress. My niece has a dress that looks very similar to the one this girl is wearing."

Atividade 2

Estratégia 1: Foco em descrição

"In this picture I see a man walking alone, I can't see his face, I can only see his back. The street is dark and it has light poles on both sides. In front of the man I see a building that looks like an European church. The place is dark and somewhat scary. It looks like a very old place in Europe. I would never go to this place because it makes me feel very uncomfortable. I can't see the sun in the sky in this photo."

Estratégia 2: Emissão de opinião

"In this picture I see a lonely man. He's looking at a church in front of him. I believe he's sad because of the rain. This places looks like the city where I live, I live in London and here the weather is always sad and depressing. I always cry when I look at the streets. Because they are so dark, just like the street I see in this photo."

Atividade 3

Estratégia 1: Foco em descrição

"In this photo I see two beautiful women. I think they are sisters because they look so alike. They are sharing a delicious piece of cake. The slice of cake has two strawberries on top of chocolate icing. They are holding the plate with one of their hands. Both of them have amazing white teeth. I feel hungry when I look at this picture. I have a coffee shop that is just like the one in the photo."

Estratégia 2: Emissão de opinião

"In this photo I see two confident women. They are probably in their twenties. The woman on the right might be a stylist or an entrepreneur. I think so because of the clothes she's wearing. I know expensive stuff when I look at it. They are at a very elegant coffee shop, in fact I opened a coffee shop yesterday and it looks very similar to the one in the photo. Maybe they went to my coffee shop."

Atividade 4

Estratégia 1: Foco em descrição

"In this picture I see an old man. He looks very happy with his life. He's white and he has a white big beard. His eyebrows are white too. He wears a nice looking straw hat. His skin is good. He doesn't seem to have any sort of skin problems, even though I believe he probably spends too much time under the sun. I hope he wears sunscreen. But I think that is probably not the case."

Estratégia 2: Emissão de opinião

"In this photo I see an old man. I believe he is a fisherman, I think so because he reminds me of my grandfather. My grandfather was a fisherman and he looked just like the man from the photo. Both of them like to spend their time close to the ocean. Behind the man I see a beach. The water is incredible, it's crystal-clear. Probably this man swims everyday and has great health. I would like to talk to him."

Atividade 5

Estratégia 1: Foco em descrição

"In this photo I see a white man, he's a surfer. He has beautiful short hair. His hair is brown. He's very strong. Under him I see his surfboard. He's surfing a medium size wave. Behind him I see the beach, and maybe some trees. I'm not sure because the quality of the photo isn't good enough for me to tell the difference."

Estratégia 2: Emissão de opinião

"In this image I see a surfer. he's touching his surf board. He looks just like my cousin. My cousin loves to spend his time surfing. I think this guy, the one in the photo might be very rich. I think so because he looks like a model. When you look like that, you get many opportunities in life. My cousin for example gets many sponsorships from famous companies."
